1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Companion, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service. Companion, Inc. reserves the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Account Terms
You sign in to Companion using Google. By signing in, you authorize us to access your Google profile information (name, email, and profile picture). You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
3. Service Description
Companion is an AI companion platform that provides dedicated sandbox environments with persistent storage, access to large language models, and real-time voice and video capabilities. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
4. Subscription and Billing
Companion offers tiered subscription plans, each with defined usage budgets and rate limits. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the recurring charges associated with your selected tier. You may change or cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to abuse sandbox compute resources, attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limits, use the service for any illegal activity, or interfere with other users' access to the platform. Violation of these terms may result in suspension or termination of your account.
6. AI Agents and Generated Content
Companion provides access to AI models that operate autonomously within dedicated sandbox environments, executing commands, modifying files, and interacting with external services on your behalf. AI agents may take actions with real consequences in your sandbox, including installing software, running code, and managing files. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of AI-generated content or actions taken by AI agents. You are solely responsible for reviewing, supervising, and accepting the outputs and actions produced by AI agents through the platform.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Companion, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for conduct that violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings, which will permanently remove your data including your profile, sandboxes, and companions.
